Current Project Proposals

  • The overall aim of HEIVET is to support and strengthen the knowledge, skills and understanding of the many different professionals working in Higher Education (HE) and Vocational Education and Training (VET) at advanced level (EQF 5-8, formal and non-formal) with older people who are still active or who wish to be active in the employment market (including those seeking re-entry to the labour market through new forms of employment as well as those who wish to contribute through civic engagement).
  • COMMIT intends to increase commitment to the social dimension of higher education and support strategies for increasing attainment. The project builds on the work of a previous project – ALLUME – which developed 3 self evaluation tools for universities to review their strategy for implementation of a comprehensive and coherent LLL university. This COMMIT project will review those 3 tools, refining and adapting them and adding new features which take on board a wider and clearer idea of the social dimension of HE; it will also design and develop a new tool for monitoring attainment in HE and integrate these tools in HEIs management systems.
  • The project will focus on transferring and further developing organisational innovations in VET sector. The existing good practices for SME-VET-HE/R knowledge chain. Selected models will be piloted in the nature-based entrepreneurship (NBE) sector in 5 countries and based on the pilots long term co-operation plans made. In each country the aim is to form "a trinity" VET-SMEs-HE/R to carry out the piloting. This is a Leonardo da Vinci (Transfer of innovation) proposal. The University of Helsinki Ruralia Institute is the coordinator and EUCEN has a dissemination role in the consortium.
  • This Leonardo da Vinci Partnership proposal aims at laying the ground work for a certificate programme in RPL/APL through the collection of methods and best practices on RPL/APL in the respective partner universities. Such a certificate programme will be able to educate the administrative staff in universities and continuing education centres through seminars which help to understand how RPL/APL can be managed. This is a Leonardo da Vinci (Partnerships) proposal. The University of Hamburg is the coordinator and EUCEN will have a dissemination role in the consortium.
  • This KA3-ICT proposal coordinated by the University of Porto intends to provide a practical tool to suggest an adequate e-assessment strategy. EUCEN's role will be connected to the Exploitation of the project and also to Dissemination.
  • This KA4 proposal coordinated by the University of Minho intends to create an observatory focused in virtual mobility and a community around this topic. EUCEN's role in the project would be mainly connected to the Dissemination package.
  • This KA4 proposal coordinated by dieBerater seeks to establish a platform for the partners from projects to share, develop and disseminate existing project support products. EUCEN's role would be mainly linked to the Dissemination package in this project.
  • This KA4 proposal coordinated by EADTU and ERASHU will support and consult universities in the processes of designing, adopting and implementing new strategies for LLL. EUCEN would be involved in the dissemination of results from this project.
  • The main aim of this TEMPUS proposal coordinated by dieBerater is to successfully transfer existing knowledge funded by the EU for project developers in the Caucasus Region and sharing experience of EU-universities in project development. EUCEN will co-lead the Dissemination package of this project.
  • This TEMPUS proposal coordinated by the University of Krems intends to build capacity in VNIL in Russian HEIs in line with the EU2020 strategy. EUCEN will co-lead the Dissemination package, including the co-organisation of the final conference of this project.
