Hubs for VET | Creating synergies between employers and VET providers. The French experience.

The European Commission is encouraging Vocational Excellence, especially through the promotion of Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs), bringing together different stakeholders including VET providers, employers, research centres and employment services.

The French “Trades and qualifications campus” label (Campus des métiers et des qualifications), created in 2014, shares the same objectives as it seeks to create synergies between companies, schools, research centres and universities operating within the same economic sector. This initiative has had positive impacts in several regions of France, and is generating growing interest.
