IN-WORK partners gathered in Macerata (IT) to meet for the first time. The meeting allowed to enhance the team spirit and lay the foundations of the project to build a common understanding of the project’s objectives. The project specific objective is to design, develop, pilot and validate a model of intervention to enlarge the universities networks to mainstream a culture of inclusion and support the life design of youths with special needs through work-integrated learning activities. IN-WORK project offers a work-integrated learning approach that proposes redefining and enlarging the links with the place which is addressed to university students and not-student youths with special needs.

IN-WORK has a strong potential of creating synergies with different fields of education (particularly upper secondary schools), training and youth. The main innovation of IN-WORK is on the idea that social inclusion should be pursued through a community-based action, initiated and promoted by the universities in their educational role, starting from the way of teaching and learning. Within each of the partners plays a key role in accomplishing the project goals, and the KOM undoubtedly had strengthen the partners collaboration.
