eucen projects in 2021
The last few months have been very busy for eucen, with several new European projects starting in 2021. eucen is currently coordinating 2 projects and is involved in other 15 projects as partner.

All the projects are funded by the Erasmus+ Programme. They deal with a range of different topics, among which social inclusion, digitalisation, work-based learning, validation of prior learning and entrepreneurship education. In this section of eucen website, you can find a short description of all the projects in which eucen is currently involved.

We are still awaiting information on further project proposals submitted at the beginning of 2020. Updates will be posted in this page. In the meantime, you can find below a short summary of the projects in which we are currently involved, in the different topic areas:
 
DIVERSITY AND SOCIAL INCLUSION

SMILE – Social Meaning Impact through LLL Universities in Europe: funded under KA3- Social inclusion and common values, it seeks to promote a more inclusive HE and foster the participation, progress and achievement of disadvantaged learners in HE. It will focus on three different pillars: migrant background students, women in leadership and socio-economic status. This project is coordinated by eucen. The website will be available soon.

IncludeHER: funded under KA2-Strategic Partnerships, it aims aiming to increase access to digital education for women with migrant background, boosting their inclusion, and enabling them to play a greater part in society and economy. The project is coordinated by Johannes Guthenberg University (DE).

IncludeME - Inclusion Through Mediation: funded under KA2-Strategic Partnerships, it combines issues related to migrants, refugees, inclusion and accessibility of HE. It aims to map best practices on social mediation across Europe, and based on the findings, to produce OERs and a MOOC. The project is coordinated by ÅBO AKADEMI (FI).

InclusiveHE: funded under KA2-Strategic Partnerships, it aims to develop the capacities of HEIs to develop inclusive policies and practices in their operations and in designing and delivering education programs. The project is coordinated by ÅBO AKADEMI (FI). The website will be available soon.

ULLL DEVELOPMENT

COMPASS - Towards European University Lifelong Learning Model in Moldova: funded under KA2-Capacity Building in Higher Education, it addresses the process of integration of an inclusive and responsive University Lifelong Learning (ULLL) model in Moldova. The project is coordinated by the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova (MD).
 
HE-VET and WBL

UNILAB - From University to Labour market in the 21st Century:  a step forward in work-based placements: funded under KA2-Capacity Building in Higher Education, it focuses on the refinement of work-based practices and work placements in Russian, Belarusian and Azerbaijani higher education system, developing strategies to ensure the development of students’ employability. This project is coordinated by eucen.

VENHANS - VET Networking Enhancement: funded under KA3 – Support for Policy Reform Networks and Partnerships of Vocational Education and Training (VET) providers, it aims to help the main VET providers’ networks to increase their representativeness at national/regional level, enhance the cooperation between the umbrella networks and promote VET provision’s quality improvement. The project is coordinated by EVTA (BE).

WBL4JOB: funded under KA2-Capacity Building in Higher Education, it aims to introduce work-based learning in higher education systems of Armenia and Moldova for better employability of graduates. The project is coordinated by the French University in Armenia (AM).

BEQUEL - Benchmarking for Quality Assurance in e-learning provision of VET education: funded under KA2-Strategic Partnerships, it aims to develop quality assurance in e-learning provision and practices of VET educators, in the involved countries, through promotion of self-evaluation, quality benchmarking and networking between VET providers. The project is coordinated by the Technical University of Kosice (SK). The project website will be available from summer 2021.

TRANSVAL - Validation of transversal skills across Europe (TRANSVAL-EU): funded under KA3- Policy experimentations, it aims to experiment innovative approaches for the validation of non-formal and informal learning (VNFIL) of transversal skills in five pilot countries (Austria, Italy, Lithuania, Poland and Belgium). The project is coordinated by OeAD-GmbH (AT). eucen participates in this project as Associate Partner. The project website will be available from spring 2021.
 
DIGITALISATION

SDCE - Students as Digital Civic Engagers: funded under KA2-Strategic Partnerships, it aims to empower students and young people to become confident civic engagers, by significantly improving the access to and quality of civic engagement/innovation education available to them through HEIs, Colleges, Schools and Youth work organizations. The project is coordinated by the University of Vienna (AT).

iPEAR - Inclusive Pear Learning with Augmented Reality Apps: funded under KA2-Strategic Partnerships, it aims to improve the visual literacies of educators, making learning more visual through static (e.g. comics, mind maps), dynamic (e.g. video) and interactive visuals (e.g. virtual reality). The project is coordinated by the Friedrich-Alexander-Universitat Erlangen Nuernberg (DE). The website will be available soon.

Digital Innovation: funded under KA2-Strategic Partnerships, it intends to gather up-to-date, reliable information to develop modern course curricula to gain a better understanding of how small service companies currently undertake new product development so that we can improve how innovation in services is taught. The project is coordinated by the University of Szczecin (PL).
 
EUROPEAN PROJECT MANAGEMENT

ONE: funded under KA2-Strategic Partnerships, it aims to increase the environmental knowledge and digital competences of Higher Education leaders and staff, to carry out multi-national projects successfully with just ONE transnational partner meeting. The project is coordinated by Fern University in Hagen (DE).

CREATIVE CHANGE: funded under KA2-Strategic Partnerships, it aims to develop the skills of adult education project staff to embrace the use of creative project methodologies, digital tools and collaborative strategies which will help them move from narrow process-oriented work to broader people-centred, impact-oriented practices. The project will be coordinated by dieBerater (AT). The project website will be available from summer 2021.
 
ENTREPRENEURSHIP

EnterMode - Internship Model for developing Entrepreneurial skills to higher education: funded under KA2-Knowledge Alliances, it aims to stimulate entrepreneurial skills of higher education teaching staff and company staff and pilot an internship model designed to and develop the entrepreneurial mind-set and related skills of higher education students. The project is coordinated by the Technical University of Kosice (SK).

ARPEL4Entrep – Accreditation and Recognition of prior experiences and learning: funded under KA2-Strategic Partnerships, it aims to leverage the infrastructure and competencies of the partners in e-learning and the collective expertise and resources of the partners in creating a programme which would encourage entrepreneurs to pursue studies at Level 7. The project is coordinated by AEA LTD (MT).
