Call for Contributions: Life transitions in ULLL
Please remember that the Call for Contributions for eucen's 50th Conference in Bergen will close on Friday 16th March 2018. Do not delay, please, and send your abstracts! You can do so using the online form at the eucen Studies website.

This eucen conference explores the role of university lifelong learning in life transitions; the ones that people undergo as they adapt their career and life paths and even move to regions foreign to them. Thus, the conference focuses on supporting professional, personal, and digital transitions, and also on introducing critical perspectives. The themes are sorted into the three categories:

1. Professional transitions
Under this category we wish to explore the implications for university lifelong learning on professional transitions as people enter or return to the workforce, change or progress in their careers, or leave work due to unemployment, retirement, or personal choice. Your contribution could be linked to themes such as: Impact of university continuing education on career and educational transitions; Adult counselling as a useful tool for and in life transitions; Recognition and validation of prior learning

2. Personal transitions
Under this category we want to explore transitions at the personal level. Your contribution could be linked to themes such as: Identity and personal agency; Community engagement; Citizenship education; Local language education

3. Digital transitions
Under this category we want to explore how digitalisation is changing how we engage with knowledge, teaching, and learning, and to examine and critique this new learning environment. We also want to explore the possibilities and challenges of using digital media. Your contribution could be linked to themes such as: The role of the educator; Engaging lifelong learners online; Learning online in later life; Creating digital content
