EUCEN's conference had as keynote speakers Federico Mayor-Zaragoza (former Director General of UNESCO), Michel Dominique Raymond (ACP) and Monika Oels (Ministry of Labour Germany).

    39th EUCEN Conference - Lifelong Learning for the New Decade. The interconnecting theme of the workshops will be "Restorative Education" (RE). RE is an environmental-psychological approach that examines the relation between the individual and the environment. If something has been broken or unsettled, it can be restored into equilibrium through restorative measures (e.g. restorative justice, creative economy, sustainable environmental technology, etc). There are many ways to apply restorative education to learning in various social, individual and communal problem situations. Our conference has chosen 3 areas: Socio-economic Educational relationships Environmental relationships There is a Call for Abstracts. Please send your contributions!

    University Lifelong Learning (ULLL) and University Continuing Education are emerging concepts and realities in European countries. As reported by the BeFlex report, the development of ULLL is slow: even if 56% of universities have a LLL policy or strategy, the implementation and the practice are complex and diverse. How is it possible to change the current European universities into real Lifelong Learning Universities? How is it possible to evolve while keeping the main current strong points, like the research responsibility, the social and democratic roles?

    33rd EUCEN European Conference. From Bologna to London and Beyond. It was time for University Lifelong Learning (ULLL) to be higher on the agenda of the Bologna process. So far the stress had been on putting the elements of the Bologna reforms in place – it was the time to make some work to promote ULLL.
