Background
Since 2002, the Continuing Education Centres of the Swiss Universities and Federal Institutes of Technology have contributed to setting up university continuing education in conjunction with the Rectors’ Conference of the Swiss Universities (CRUS). Each Continuing Education Centre of the Swiss University and Federal Institute of Technology are members of the association (12 members).
Focus
Swissuni promotes University Continuing Education through in particular :
- promoting quality development
- defining a continuing education policy and strategies
- supporting the development of LLL
- sharing information and best practice
- setting up joint projects and innovative programmes
- maintaining a shared database listing the continuing education programmes offered by all members
- collaborating with the Rectors’ Conference of the Swiss Universities (CRUS)
- collaborating with universities and other institutions at both a national and international level
Core activities
- annual meetings
- Conferences and workshops on topics associated with University Continuing Education.
- Working groups on UCE such as Quality, ECTS, NQF
- Participation to national working groups on LLL policy issues
